Vincent De Brouwere is Professor of Public Health at the Institute of Tropical Medicine, Antwerp (ITM-A). His main field of research is the health care system, with a particular focus on maternal health and access to health services. He developed his expertise in the domain of maternal mortality reduction partly through his research work and partly through the elaboration and evaluation exercise of reproductive health strategies in support to ministries of health in LMIC.
