A New Recruit with High Ambitions is a case study by Maurice Lemelin and Martine Boucher.

A young, newly-hired employee plays political games in order to gain power and by-pass her team leader, an honest worker who is not at ease with political games. He challenges his boss to take his responsibilities and to call the ambitious new recruit to order. This situation is intended to generate discussion of various schools of thought concerning conflicts. It puts the emphasis on the notions of power and bargaining chips in conflict and negotiation.
