BRI Bayres Ritz International: Ready to Launch? is a case study by Mai Thi Thanh Thai and Jessica-Georgette Djomo-Magne.
This case describes the entrepreneurial process of an Argentinean Canadian who created a new international venture based on the demand of Vancouver firms for international human resource management services and of Argentinean nationals for overseas internships and vocational training. Students will learn about the entrepreneur’s background and how it influenced his opportunity recognition and organization of resources. They will also learn about business model evaluation and financial, personal, and social changes driven by entrepreneurship.
Objectifs pédagogiques
This case teaches students to:
- Describe a business concept
- Understand entrepreneurship-driven changes / rationales for new business creation
- Understand entrepreneurial processes, described in Wickham (2006, chapter 10), and the factors in the process of entrepreneurial value creation
- Assess the viability of a business idea by evaluating the fit between the entrepreneur, his or her resources and capabilities, and the proposed business
